The wedding ceremony is not in the Bible. And there is so much cultural pressure over how things are done and so much money is made off of specific aspects of getting married that it just, it bothers me. So one of the best things about having an associate pastor, second person on staff here was like, somebody else could do the weddings over you. You know what? Nobody cares about most of the little details. They tend to think about the big picture stuff.
