What Is the Mechanism of the Atonement?
We're trying to explain the significance of the death of christ. A lot of people tend to pile on other socirological bits and pieces to make their explanation of the atonement a more full but were focused specifically on, what is the death of Christ achieved? Soa, that would be sort of the first thing that we talk about in our researches. And then when other discussions that i read on atonement theories, they ue thee other terms, like suf ancy and efficacy. But why don't we just kind of start by defining each of these terms for the audience.? We've been working with tha sort of fit for purpose definition that says something like this,
