The Moral Language of Emancipation
There is an utterly pessimistic take that i think has deviated greatly from the frederick douglas. First of all, there's no mention of race in assemtyin in our constitution at all. The founding was forged with the idea that one day blacks would be part of the republic. So when i say that though the foundations of black freedom were forged in the crucibles of this greatdoe, i meanit quite seriously. I mean that we have to hold the truths of the document as they stand, and not by those who betrayid the document itself.
