What's the Importance of Grammar and Typos?

Early stage writers jump into grammar and typos. A lot of authors, i think, do line editing first. It's polishing the prose, right? That's making it pretty. And that's sexi and fun. Everybody wants to do that. But that's the thing about going back to the beginning and starting doing that, you're missing all the stuff that's more foundational to the story itself.
