The government is trying out e-scooters on public raids in London and other cities. It's illegal to ride your private scooter on a public raid, but you can do it totally fine on private land. In Portsmouth, two thirds of people who don't use them say that they want them banned. Police are saying that drug dealers are increasingly using e-Scooters to zip away from the police. And we hear stories about increasing numbers of collisions. So, if those are the risks, what are the benefits? 10 e-scooter riders were killed last year - this will triple by 2021.
