Safety in Wellness for Black Women in the Academic Space

I think that so often black women, an academ go into space were one of the only black people there. And especially f e are in mental health or councilling reams, then you're being asked to be an educator more than you're allowed to be a learner. I think it's important to have someone outside of your university as your mentor who can help you figure out what you're getting through and how to get through it. Just being intentional about how we are with black women wen ene, bringing them, especially into primarily white, historically white institutions, tir's a way of providing safety and well nen.
