The Disillusionment of Work Pays
As an outsider to the for profit world, you know very little about entities that are trying to basically help people. But I feel like there's a lot of idealism when you are from the outside looking in and then you get in, see how the sausage is made, and it can be disillusioning. So has my idealism changed about any of that? No, I still don't do any work that does, comes anywhere near as close to the amazing work that those people do. One thing I will say is that I remain really idealistic about what we can achieve at workdays.
