The Importance of Policy Incentives in the Energy Transition
I think what the IRA has triggered is actually a race to the top. I think the UK has already put in place a transition plan, and on the basis of that transition plan, we have a very sound investment plan. We're actually planning to invest £18 billion in the decade in the UK. The common underpinning independent of the incentives is we need an acceleration in permitting. transmission and investments in the grids are some of the two big bottlenecks.
