The Future Is Closer to Home Than You Think
The episode begins with Ang's summoning across a well-tooth sword triggering Sokka's own childhood memory of when all the men left their Southern Water Tribe village. All of a sudden this is an emotionally deep Sokka episode because he's going back into his past and it was my first feeling as I was watching this episode. The future is closer to home than you think. Everybody's still in danger and the world is still in danger from this greater threat.
