China's Support for Russia Mattered a Lot
The chinese are trying to do everything they can to support the rugfians without triggering stronger push back against their own economy from the west. A that said, if the chinese ent sanctions regimes always involve overtime, states that are the targets get better at finding ways around them. There's a competition. But if the russians and the chinese come up better ways to funnel more support russia, that go a huge distance towards alleviating some of the problems we sen but i think it's hard to predict the trajectory that that will take because it will depend both on policy decisions that are made.
