I've never felt more supported in a work environment than when I was on that placement period. It's so important to make those connections with your like, like your peers and your coworkers in the future because no one else will understand what you're going through. So it was like this beautiful community and everyone shares this respect for how important what we're doing is. Some they were someone's entire world and it's so important that we find out what happened to them to give that family closure,. But also respect them as a person and to make sure that they're taken care of. And I felt that with everyone that that's a shared kind of belief and like the motivation for it.
We are joined this week by Laura, a student mortuary technician in Australia to discuss her experiences and role and how she thinks about death and the meaning of a good life on this special guest episode.
