Are the Luftwaffe and the Kriegsbrane Co-Opted?
The German destroyer fleet was pretty well wiped out in the Norwegian campaign. But once the ports in Holland have been taken, e-boats started to come down to the Dunkirk area and sank a number of ships. The bottom line is both the Luftwaffe and the Kriegsbrane do not make serious indent on the carrying capacity of the shipping that is taking the British army off.
