I wanted to make the world a better place at real scale. I thought a good way to do that would be grappling with the big questions of values and ethics. So I headed Oxford to study philosophy. Within months, I knew I'd made a mistake. But I had no idea what to do instead. A friend asked me this one question that was so simple: Why do you think philosophy is your only path to do that?
