I wanted to ask you about this very thing because your frame in the book is essentially that the global north embraced social democracy post World War II until about 1970 or 1973. And then after that, there was a neoliberal turn. But first, I think I'll just ask, what were the perceived problems with social democracy and why did people take issue with the current system? And were those criticisms legitimate, illegitimate?
