Is There a Career in Education?
I started college as a chemistry major because like every working class kid, right, you just said, well, I don't know what jobs are available. And STEM is always a job. My advisor at that time at BU says, well, if you can learn Russian and get a master's degree, you'll always have a job Because there's always going to be a Soviet Union. So the war college took me in for a couple of years. And then really, it was a temporary job. I thought I was going to go back into a political science department or something. And so my temporary two years turned into 25 years because it just kind of worked out that way.
