The Importance of Incentives in the Creation of Mimetic Icons
I think there's an interesting dynamic here where like, the reason that comes up for me in the authenticity spectrum is just like, I think sometimes incentives muddy the our understanding of our own reasoning for doing something. So my ideal answer to this question is that, you know, to coalesce around creative instincts that someone else made, but you resonate with. And I do very much feel like there needs to be some economic incentive for some, right? Not everybody is financially motivated, but a fair amount of people are and whichever way you go is whichever way you going.
