What Do You Think About Explaining Complex Models?
Google engineers thought explanation was valuable within their development process. They were a little less certain about whether it would be valuable to explain how these kinds of systems worked to an end user or to a person using the end product that they were designing. There's really some interesting questions here about expertise like who gets the explanation and do you have to be an expert in algorithms to actually receive an explanation? What do you think?
