Midge comes from, it's almost pre-middle class, but it's upper class. They live well. So back in the days when, if you worked, if you were a ten year professor, you had a beautiful apartment on the left side. But that's the style, right? so it's not really a Lenny Bruce thing. It's those Jews who were talking about bourgeois life. And then by making her a female as opposed to my father, it allowed sort of a, well, I don't ever look at my work like that.
