Introduction

The History of English Podcast is a podcast about the history of the English language. In this episode we look at how the Greeks came to discover the alphabet. The Greek Dark Age followed several important events which have implications on our culture and politics even today. With the emergence of this new Greek civilization after the dark age we get the widespread use of the brand new alphabet, and we get the spread of literacy.
