More than 80% of black women and about 70% of white women have fibroids by age 50. The next question becomes why the racial disparity? Is it diet, stress or environmental exposures? Maybe whatever it is could offer a clue as to what causes fibroids. In our next story, we look at what role diet and baby powder may play in the development of fibroids and ovarian cancer.
