How Mentorship Solidified a Reputation
I think the thing that jumps out for me there is that you, in your own experience with a footsy 5,000 company, you understood the breadth of problems that people faced doing that. You were able to boil them down to characters, to principles, essentially, and then applied them. The magnitude of the problems changed as you're working with footsy 50 companies. But it's the same principles and the same characters. The numbers turned into telephone numbers, but the problem was the problem. And also, by the way, when you take a bitterly tiny little company public, you have to look at the legal documents, the compliance documents, and understand them and sign off on them.
