The Disadvantages of Booking via United
United doesn't necessarily release a lot of awards space to their partners. If you're trying to get to Europe from San Francisco, maybe you can find availability from Chicago or New York. What about the itinerary that connects eight times in Canada to get you to Europe and look at just booking two separate flights? It's still again may cost you far less than booking via United.
