Why the Puritans Didn't Want Religious Persecution

After being brought to trial for bestiality, he confessed to having had sex with a mayor, a cow, two goats, five sheep, two calves and a torquey. The Puritan authorities decided the proper response was to be found: slay the beast. They did a line up with the sheep, so he had two ID, his sex partners, who were executed before him. Four Quakers were hanged by the Puritans, some were expelled from Plymouth and Massachusetts.
