Examining the past of a chaotic system can give you lots of little answers. The answer, which is also another word for algorithm, doesn't exist at all in a chaotic, three body system. But we can approximate the answer - only if we programm the computer with the physics of how gravity works in social systems like markets. What's our financial world equivalent of a theory of gravity? I think it's a theory of narrative. This, to me, is a more interesting research program than identifying small inertias or capturing brief sparks.
