The Handmaid's Tale

The handmaid's tale can illuminate our understanding of these ant and termite societies. In some sense, we think about queens and kings and queens in insect societies as once you call it a queen, it sounds like that's the life you want to live. But in principle, she's just more or less captive. She doesn't do anything else. All she does is eat and lay eggs.
