Pall mall in africa, as you've already mentioned, its deeply coloured, deeply fragrant. A venetian explorer during the sixteenth century said it had the scent of violets, the flavour of olive oil and the colour of saffron en. Ande african production of palm oil has remained almost entirely unchanged across thousands of years. It's produced in these kind of relatively unmechanized ways by people shimming up trees, very dangerous ways. But it's a delicious, traditional, artisanal product that's greatly beloved by millions of people.
