The Impotence of Protest in Britain
The policing bill does make protest much more risky going into joining a protest is really hard. The thing is because there's quite little awareness of that I don't think that people have sort of internalized it in their own behavior. It's lucky we can definitely trust the Metropolitan Police not to abuse these powers. Thank God they're so reliable. Yeah well John we haven't thus far seen a great deal of protest in the UK apart from marches on strike days and that kind of thing.
