My Abortion Story

The baby's kidneys were taking up basically the entire chest cavity to the point where the lungs hadn't developed. The most serious complication was that the baby had fluid in the skull and it was creating so much pressure that the brain could never form. So we made the very difficult decision to terminate the pregnancy rather than carry it to term knowing that this child wouldn't live very long at all outside the womb. I remember trying to dissect what to wear to the hospital thinking what do you wear to your own funeral?
