Pension Funds Are Not Getting Liquid Assets Fast Enough to Meet Margin Requirements
Pension funds were simply not able to get liquid assets fast enough to meet the scale of the margin calls that they were receiving. The Bank of England said that we're going to buy up to five billion pounds of bonds a day. They only had to buy one billion. But yeah, once they threatened. It's a bit like a bank run. You know, the thing about a bank run is the bank. There's a run in the bank. And if you expect that to be no money in the ATM, the bank run subsides. Because it's a psychological thing. So much of that is psychological. Yep.
