A Game of Chess

You and your friend are able to claim a couple of spots at the end of a long bench occupied by a family. As you round another corner, the sheltering trees give way to a grand looking ring encircled with bench seating. The occasional sound of trumpets can be heard, followed by cheering from an audience. You leave the jewellery store behind and follow your friend toward the jolly sound of the crowd. There will be plenty of time for exploring more shops and other curiosities afterward. But now, you are focused on a seat at the big show.
