Josiah's Reform Is Too Little, Too Late
In his lifetime he saw all these seven kings. He was born in the reign of Manasseh who sacrificed his own babies to the devil and filled Jerusalem's streets with the blood of innocent people. And then Josiah found himself at the age of eight on the throne, and Josiah was a good boy. But I'm afraid it failed. Jeremiah doesn't mention Josiah in the book of Kings, doesn't mention Jeremiah. It's almost as if Jeremiah realized that a reform ordered by the king did not change people's hearts. Now we have just evil, weak kings.
