Dominance - The Conditions of Our Earliest Ancestors
The conditions that our earliest ancestors lived in were such that we were able to successfully form coalitions to resist domination. The result was agaletarian societies where everyone has equal, or relatively equal, decision making power. Bohm calls this process of killing off the alpha males and of banding together to prevent domination the galtarian revolution. These conditions favoring a galetarian social organization continued until after the advent of agriculture and the environmental conditions of the holicene geological era. In combination with other factors, they made it harder and harder for bullies to dominate their former peers.
