The Story of Harvey Harvey - A Model's Story
Ruth Mercado was a 24 year old model who just arrived in Los Angeles from Plattsburgh, New York five years earlier. She had served in the women's air force during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. When things weren't really working out for her she turned to modeling as a way of making money while still staying kind of a little bit in the entertainment industry. He decided to show up at her apartment unannounced but when Ruth opened the door, he was like, what's wrong? And she was like, I'm so sorry. I meant to call you. Oh, she said she didn't have his number. Harvey thought she was lying about being sick.
