At age 16 you were climbing Mount Rainier with your dad and mother. You lived in a tent underneath the trees at Park West which is now the canyons. In 1983 he started working at the Haoye Bar retail store that was eventually purchased by the North Face. That was his first connection to the North Face as a professional climber.
