Self kind is accepting those shortcomings and those times that i fall flat on my face, and being able to get back up and dust myself off. And one of the places that we often need to focus on being kind to ourselves is the language that we use. The word should can feel innocent at first because we're just trying to state our intentions. But our should statements are really just ways for us to criticize ourselves. When we're shooting on ourselves, we're setting ourselves up to be unkind to ourselves.
