Ambiguous expressions seem to offer a stronger interpretive cue for the viewer than did the expressionless face. If colishovi and montage may not be capable of making an expressionless face emotive, it may very well do with an ambiguous expression since the objects like soup, coffin or child provide a context for resolving the ambiguity.
