Most people of the tribe did not convert to christianity. So they stand out as a sort of persistent centre of continuing an indigenous life and resistance to christianization. Not clear what happened to them. They disappear from the written record after 17 hundred, once that sort of final onslaught and disaster strikes northern florida. There is some chance that they may have persisted through that time. And if so, it's likely that they eventually joined into the seminole group, wthe new indigenous confederation that formed later in the 17 hundreds.
