The eye glass industry is dominated by an international cartel called lixotica, which i think is out of belgium. They have cornered so many of the frames a the lens grinding, they have bought up a lot of the chains. The averageper and being lured in by all the advertising, is paying the most they've ever paid for glasses. You absolutely right now can go by glasses. If you wear progressive lenses, but you wear single vision frames and lenses, you can buy prescription glasses any day of the week.
