When did you first hear about the abduction of tommy, beth, jason and john? Well, people started to see the news of it after it was all over. And i made some phone calls while these guys were still in kirgestan, and got hold of them. One thing led to another. I ended up writing a magazine article for outside magazine about that. And then a book came out of that. You know, juse, the initial story was kidnapped by terrorists, running around the mountains, people shooting at them. It sounded like another one of these crazy adventure stories.I thought maybe i should give a shot atse if i could get hold of this
