China's Progress in Artificial Intelligence

China is making huge progress in artificial intelligence. They've invested billions and billions into it over the last decade. The number of scientific papers published in China has continued to grow up may even outpace the West at this point. There's no question but that if the West were to stop developing AI and China marched ahead for six months, six months, a huge amount of time would be lost. To pause in the race would just be such an old goal. Why would you do this really? It's my perspective.
