Is There Any Good Reason to Accept Physical Reductionism About Consciousness?

There's a sort of inductive argument from the of science that it's one day going to deal with consciousness in the same way physical science has. But i don't think this is, because we're trying to explain these invisible, subjective qualities that aren't publicly observable and can only be accessed by people who are immediately aware of them. It's a totally different exponetory project. So as good basians, we shouldn't think thatat the success of physical science and plaining publicly accessible behavior gives us any reason to think it's going to be able to explain private subjective qualities.
