Nebuchadnezzar's Towering Image
Nebuchadnezzar wants to gather all humanity around his sovereignty with this golden image, as we saw in chapter two. This has babelic connotations. In the text itself, its cribed as being 60 cubits tall and six cubits broad. The image itself is of a remarkable height, 90 foot, or 27 meteres tall. While this would not be the largest image in the ancient world, it would be one of the tallest.
