Is the United States the Reserve Currency?

The united states is in a position of having the global reserve currency, which allows us to create more dollars than the domestic economy actually needs. If another country created as many dollars as we do out of thin air, their currency would depreciate very, very quickly and there the price of those treasuries would go down,. so it would restrict government spending. So that makes the burden on the government even larger for the existing debt they have. It's really, this a free market system. It constrains most governments, but it doesn't constrain the united states at least to the same degree.
