The Consequences of Economic Power Over the State
I don't think there's someone behind the curtain pulling all the strings, but you have much more power over it. The greater extent to which we have a tiny class of people with huge amounts of political power, the more that we're going to see them having influence over the state. It works. If we enter an era of extreme inequality as we have recently, that only becomes more pronounced. While everybody still has vote, and that matters, you can tell elections matter because even the very powerful people freak out about their outcomes. I think they really matter and every vote matters.
