I remember waking up in the night just screaming and wailing, and nick would just come behind me. And i want to share with you what i did and what helped me in those moments. One of the biggest things is allowing myself to feel the emotion. Fully feel the emotions. Welcome them. Allow them to wash over you. Let the sadness or the pain or the fear or the heartache be there. Don't try and numb it with t v, shopping, alcohol, drugs, food, sex, whatever it is. Just allow them to be there.
