The big excitement for the last few years amongst experts on AI has not been all about these sort of specific uses of AI, but the whole idea of generalized AI. If we do understand how to create general purpose AI, then almost certainly they'll far exceed human capabilities in pretty much every area. And you'd be able to tap into this intelligence utility and its physical embodiments for anything you want. So that would be marvelous. But if you do back at the envelope calculation, it would be about a tenfold increase in GDP. Even after COVID and financial crisis, even after that. Yep.
