I just read a book this last week for another guest who was going to be on my show, a book called the Elevated Leader. Ryan Gottfrydzen says most sales training is about what he calls horizontal development which is sort of skills driven. He said it's not about increasing their skill set but helping people develop cognitive and emotional sophistication. To be able to handle more complex environments.
