Who Made God?

We must move from the dependent, contingent universe to something independent, absolute. And that, philosophically, is what we're talking about as god. If you ask the question, who made god? You are, of course, saying that god is not absolute. He also is con gent, but a little less contingent than the universe. The atheist stops with the universe, it is contingent. The believer in god, the theist stops with an absolute deity. Now which is to be preferred? Which is tobe preferred?
