The History of Potatoes

The story of potatoes starts around 350 million years ago. They evolved from the poisonous ancestor of the plant, nightshade. Human settlers had reached that far the world around 15,000 years ago. The wild potato was domesticated about 8,000 or 8 millennia BC.
