The idea was, how do we take existing restaurants that have a lot of excess capacity and give them quote unquote content, new brands for them to fulfill using the exact same ingredients. DoorDash has basically done is say, we're going to go to brands like Milk Bar that have cakes and cookies and maybe things that don't require actual prep. We'll find restaurants that are able to stock these cakes and their fridges and fulfill it for customers that want to order a birthday cake last minute and get it in 30 minutes. It's this idea of asset-like marketplace of brands on the supply side that have demand for the same day on demand delivery at certain average order values.
